Permit Requirement:
Permits are required for most work done within the CLWD. Please consult with any District Manager or Inspector for details.
No action, works or use requiring a permit shall be commenced prior to issuance of the permit, except for emergency repairs necessitated by storms, floods, or water, electrical and sewage system failures. The district should be notified of such repairs as soon as practicable.
The permit form is available by selecting and printing the page, Permit. Much of the requested information can be filled in online, then printed for your signature and to add other information such as a plot sketch. This same form can be seen in larger type by instead selecting Two-Page Permit. Adobe PDF reader is required to view the permit form; this reader is available free at www.adobe.com. Permit applications can also be picked up at the Cormorant Community Center (Outside Display).
Most permits are at NO COST and while many permits can be issued the same day, it's best to allow adequate time for permit review.. There can be significant fines and legal expense for doing work within the District without first obtaining a permit.
