Here's an interesting chart, Cormorant Lake Area Water Volume Table, that shows how many gallons of water each inch of water equates to on our Watershed lakes. This water is either retained, evaporated, drained in the lake outlet(s), or absorbed into the aquafer.
Long-time watershed resident, former Cormorant Lakes Watershed manager and former inspector Orin "Bud" Davis has kept a 22-year record of rainfall measured on his property. This Rainfall Record is of interest in how much it varies year to year, in the amounts recorded, and the trend implied by the data Bud recorded. It's is rainfall only, so snow and other precipitation aren't included.
